Can't be mad at the little guy...

So I was in the restroom and I hear Lil Ed messing around with something in the outer part of the bathroom. I say stop messing around and he says OK mommy. I realize he is playing with my facial moisturizer. It is a pump kind. I can't get up from my business so I just have to tell him again to quit messing with my stuff. Well when I am done I go to find the too quiet Lil Ed and see him rubbing my moisturizer on his hands. I look in his room and see it on his chair, the floor, his bed. I say where is my lotion? and he runs to his toy box, digs around for a sec and pulls out the empty container and says Sorry mommy, sorry mommy.
He does have nice skin.

Foreigner Concert

About a month ago, I saw on the news about Primm Resorts giving away FREE tickets for concerts just to get people to go there. Well I figured since it was on the news all the free shows would be sold out. I decided I'd better check anyways. I saw Foreginer on there. I am not a huge fan but knew a couple of their songs so I thought well this could be a fun date night so I got the tickets and called ed and said we were going.
Last night was the concert and it was a great night. We went with this great couple from Eds work. Before the concert we went to their favorite sushi place. I can't remember the name, but it was the BEST sushi I have had...ever. Then we headed out to stateline. It was a good drive with great company. I got a kick out of the concert cause this one guy in the band was SO old...but he totally rocked. Then another 'heh' moment was I remember when you could look into the crowd and see people waving lighters in the air to the slow songs. Last night I look into the crowd and see hundreds of cell phone glows! I just sat back and had a chuckle.
It was a great night and on the way home we were talking about the other free concerts coming up. This morning we got free tickets to Three Dog Night and Hermans Hermits. It is in December and I CAN'T wait!! You too can check out their free ticket offers....

Feeding ducks at the park

This morning we went to feed the ducks at the park. I showed Lil Ed how to break the bread and gently toss it toward the ducks. So we were standing there and I was enjoying feeding the ducks too. I look over and Lil Ed is eating the bread for the ducks. LOL. I guess I should make sure his belly is full before the ducks.

Monterey CA

Ed, Lil Ed and I went to Monterey this weekend to spend time with my family. Ed and my step dad went fishing. My sister, mom and our boys hung out with eachother during the day on saturday. We got to go to the Aquarium but it was SO crowded. I was uncomfortable it was that crowded. We couldn't even get up to the glass most of the time. Finally I had enough and I got a refund!
This is the view from outside of our room. It was really nice but they were doing construction on the seawall outside our rooms. Me and Les! We went to Cannery row and went to the shops after the Aquarium. There were lots of shops to look at. By the end Lil Ed protested going into another store.
Lil Ed and Chase eating ritz crackers. I can still hear Lil Ed saying 'come on chase' he just wanted to play with chase the WHOLE time. Landon was there too. He kinda did his own thing and didn't seem to care that Chase and Lil Ed were attached at the hip. When we had to leave lil ed was so sad.
Me my mom and sister on the beach.
Mom and Rich flying a kite on the beach.
Me and Sis again.
Ed flying the pretty butterfly kite.
Ed helping Chase fly the kite.
Chase having LOTS of fun!

'Look Ma I can fly a kite too.' Really though, I couldn't. It kept dive bombing the ground.
This is what happens when Ed is in charge...Poor lil ed got knocked down by a wave...and that is my arm saying..."WHAT HAPPENED!!" It was pretty chilly out too. Luckily our room was right there!
On the warf. Lil ed rode a car. He thought it was pretty cool.
The view from our room again. Every morning there were whales (or dolphins) swimming past right out there!! It was so awesome...and they were really close. On sunday before we left we also saw sea otters or seals or something like that out there swimming along. On Eds fishing trip he saw Whales right by their boat.
This is how my trip ended...a full search!!! I guess it is a poor idea to wear pants with lots of metal straps and buttons when going through an airport. (I didn't even think about it when getting dressed). Oh, and our flight was an hour late leaving Monterey.
Overall we had a really good trip. Now we are looking forward to going back home for christmas!!

28 Things I Love about Me

Really I am not concided. I was tagged...Here goes...

1.My teeth and

2.The fact that they have never had a cavity

3. I am an optimist

4. I know that I am a child of God and

5. I know where I am striving to go when I die.

6. I read books daily to Lil Ed

7. I am a mommy.

8. I am a wife

9. I chose a wonderful husband

10. my wrists

11. I try to see good in all people

12. I care deeply about my friends

I am feeling a bit sad that I honestly can't think of 28 things I love about me. I had a really hard time coming up with these 12 so I called out for help. Here is what some other people love about me:

I love that you are always positive about EVERYTHING

I love that you talk and wave to random people

I love your eyebrows when you’re happy or talking with enthusiasm….. / \

I love how smart you are

I love that you like cake (lol, it’s an easy “gift” to buy)

I love your sweet soul,

I love your sense of humor,

I love your smile,

I love your knees,

I love the way you always forgive your parents when they aren’t perfect

I love about you is how honest you are about your opinions. You don’t let everyone just trample your opinions and feeling on a matter because you don’t want to make waves.

I also love how good of a mom you are. You do such a good job with raising him. He is so smart and polite and is just a good kid. I think it all starts with you, though.

I love the way we can tell when you are tired by the way your hair starts to get all messy.

I love that you share your likes and dislikes with the people you care about (like that awesome book series by Stephenie Meyer) so we can enjoy it too.

I love the way you are so accepting of others, no matter what they look like or have done in the past and the way you always give everyone a chance.

I really love that you are cheerful all the time - even if there is adversity from uncontrollable circumstances, or something's gone amiss, you never seem to get upset - you are cheerful no matter how life is "happening" around you. You always make me smile!

...does it still count as finishing the tag? This was really hard to do but it helped me realize that I need work on loving me.
I tag every person who reads this...you may find you need it.

Gifts

Lil Ed loved his gifts! Thanks Mom and Rich for thinking of him. He also loved his books and playdough...but he was just really busy with his helicopters!

Thanks for the gifts mom!

Lil Ed got a big box of presents from Grammy and Papa...

So cool

So a couple weeks ago I came across a website that buys old books. I had a lot of books laying around so I thought I should check this out. They paid the shipping and I just got a check in the mail yesterday! Woo Hoo! Check them out if you have books laying around.

I love the rain

It's raining out. I love to listen to the thunder. It makes me want to curl up with hot coccoa...but it is still like a zillion degrees out!

Idaho!

Ed, Lil Ed and I took a short trip to Boise ID to see if we may want to live there someday. We left Friday night...

And hit some holiday traffic. There was a wreck up there a ways.
Lil Ed did fantastic on our trip.
We stopped in St. George for dinner at a Mexican place called Pachanga's. It was pretty Yummy.
We stayed the night in Salt lake City on Friday night. It was so late when we arrived we didn't even take pictures.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Downtown Boise. This is a view from our room...
so is this.

We walked around downtown for a bit....
...and found this place to eat. It was SO good.

Lil Ed enjoyed a turkey sandwich...and a cookie.
On our walk Ed almost stepped on this bug. Yuck.

The Capitol building is under construction.

Lil ed just hanging out.
Julia Davis Park.

We took a trolley ride around downtown and saw some historical stuff...
This is a hill by the old penitentiary that Ed wants to hike
This is the old Penn. The prisoners build this prison. The bad part about having them build it was there were a lot of loose stones. There were 12 escapes on the first night. LOL
An old hotel.

Lil eds zoo trip. He loved all the animals.

He even got a hot dog for lunch. (he dropped it when he fell off his stool...then he got a burger)

On the road to Lucky Peak State Park.

We took pictures...
...and Lil Ed slept.

Bread.

Lil Ed choosing his ice cream.
'touch nose daddy'

Dust Storm approaching the road.
Amazing clouds in Utah
On our way back to NV we stopped for lunch and a walk around Temple Square.

It was such a wonderful trip. We also drove around the smaller towns outside of Boise. I would love to live there to raise my family (even with the snow they get). I was actually bummed to come back to Las Vegas. Only time.
